Introduction

In organizing the relevant intellectual factors into a system, Guilford (1967, p. 61) distinguishes three distinct, parallel content categories. He called them figural, symbolic and semantic. For purposes of limitation, in the sequel all examples will be figural.

All problems, which occur in intelligence tests, can be devided into two categories. These problems require either Rule Applying or Rule Finding.
