The diagnostic decision making group is a group of researchers studying the cognitive behaviour of judges and (clinical) decision makers. We look at judgment and decision making under uncertainty. We address questions such as: How do judges and decision makers represent and use their knowledge, how do they create mental models, what cognitive heuristics do they use, how does mood or time pressure influence decision making processes? And also: How do patients experience treatment, is this measurable, what is the role of the working alliance?
