Radboud king of the Frisians, was the last pagan (non Christian) king of the Netherlands. As such he has some following among nationalists, not unlike Siegfried has in Germany. Wagner mentions him in his opera Lohengrin.
When referring to his younger namesake, the bishop of Utrecht, whom the university was named after, please use Saint Radboud or Bishop Radboud
